The simple present tense

 The uses

1) we use this tense to express habitual actions: the things that we do regularly.

Example, I go to school everyday at 08:00 a.m

2) we use it to express general truth.

-When we heat ice it melts .

- the earth turns around itself.

Forms

*A)

3) We don't need to change anything  when we want to conjugate the verb with (I, You They , We) we just remove the "to" before the verb and place it as it is .

Example : I often (to visit) ..... visit ... my grandparents.

4)  we have to add either "s" or "es" if we want to conjugate the verb with  《she, he, it

ES : we add "es"

* when we have verbs end with {ch / she/ x/z /s /so/ o}

Example: _she usually (to watch)....watches... horror movies alone.

- he rarely  ( to go ) ...goes..  to school alone.

* we also add "es" to verbs that end with "y" but before that "y" there must be a consent not a vowel. So, first we need to replace the "y" with an "I" and then add "es" , ofcourse with 《she, he, it 》 only.

Example: he always ( to carry) ..carries... heavy books.

-  every Monday  she(to study)...studies... Spanish.

* B) negative form

If we want to form the negative  into the simple present we just need : the subject+ do not / don't ( I, You,  they , we ) / doesn't ( she/ he / it ) + the main verb ( bare infinitive) + object.

* example:

-She ( not/work) ....doesn't work .. on  weekends.

- we (not/believe) ... we don't believe.... in the existence of vampires.

*C) questions:

If we want to ask questions in the simple present we just need to start our sentence with : do ( I,  You,  they , we ) / does ( she, he , it ) + subject+ the main verb ( bare infinitive) + object or complement.
*example:
- do you want some tea ?
- does she work in a factory?
- do they live in France?

5) simple present indicators:

The indicators  are the most important  parts in conjugation process for all the tenses. They work as alarms to show you in which tense you should conjugate  the verb.

We have : often / usually /seldom /rarely / sometimes/ occasionally / regularly /

= every { day / month / year / week / day / night/ second / minute / hour .....

Hence, whenever  we  come across one of these indicators  the only thing we do is to conjugate the given verb into the simple present.

Note:  these steps my be very functional

Know  :1)  the doer

              2) the indicator

               3) type of the verb

What is your favourite season and why

  What is your favourite season and why ?           Dear friend ( name)            Hello my friend! Hope you are doing quite well. I am the kind of person who is fond of cold weather and specifically pouring rain. I love the days when it is too foggy, carried with cold breeze and heavy rain. When leaves fall and skies turn into dark grey. So, I love Autumn, when there is no burning sun or pouring sweat.  Write me back soon                           Your friend Amen  ******************************************  Dear friend ( name) I hope you are doing fine.     Summer is my best part of the year. Honestly, just because there would be no school for a long period of time. Additionally, I love this season, because I enjoy going to the beach with my friends: where, we swim for long hours, ski on the water and play tennis in the evening.  I am looking forward to know yous.             Your friend ( name )  *******************************************            My favourite season is spring
